Photographers' Formulary Introductory Photographic Workshops

Photographers’ Formulary is pleased to announce our introductory workshop series for 2012. This is an expansion of our 19th Century Workshops in Montana program from summer into late spring and early fall.  What better time to practice photography in Montana!  To call these workshops introductory is probably an understatement. They are designed to provide instruction and tools for the novice film photographer, a thorough refresher for the current or previous film enthusiast, and quality laboratory time in our well equipped and supplied facilities for everyone.

Our introductory classes run over three full days and include a weekend. Your workshop begins on Friday evening with time to get to know your instructor and fellow students, then instruction and familiarization on lab facilities and equipment. Course content on Saturday and Sunday depend on the specific workshop but includes a balance of lectures, handouts, and most importantly - time to practice. Laboratories are always yours to use in the evenings. We sometimes wonder if some of our students get much sleep, but that's up to you. Your course concludes at noon on Monday but lab facilities remain open for your use throughout the day. The dedicated might even want to stay on another day or two to continue your work.  Let us know so we can help. All instruction, supplies, and lab fees are included in the workshop price.
